1. Where are you from & why did you join Feedbacknation?
I call St. Louis Missouri my home. I joined Feedbacknation because I believe interactions between people beyond the "like" button is so important in our world today. We tend to hide behind our devices and handles because it's easy, safe, and simple. But ultimately I think this leaves us empty and missing out on some amazing opportunities to get to know people, people who will challenge us, grow us, and encourage us. And it robs others of what we can bring into their lives. That interaction is why I joined the Feedbacknation; it is all about saying hello, sharing, and helping each other.
2. What inspires you to create art?
The inspiration for me comes from a deep place, the things I believe about our world inspire me to want to experience all it has to offer – from towering mountains to endless plains; desolate sand-filled deserts to quiet impressive forests, it all has so much to give anyone who takes the time to experience them. Urban jungles are a newer passion of mine, as I try and tell the story of the STL I see everyday – one that the media lacks to show. A story of hope, rebuilding relationships, and beauty hidden under all the chaos that perception may have outside of these city limits. And ultimately, sharing these things that I see with others, anyone willing to engage in dialogue.
3. What about you, would you like the nation to know?
I have a pretty simple life, nothing too spectacular. As I look at all the amazing people that are featured here, that engage in this community, I can sometimes feel inadequate to "keep up" stylistically. But what I have learned is to be completely authentic to what moves me, and to appreciate what others bring. It is through this authenticity that people notice you, appreciate you, and want to know more. Again, I feel all too often we dodge deeper connections because it's awkward, too difficult or time consuming, when I believe the thing we need most is exactly what we run from in this area.
